The second Finance & Technology Lunchtime Seminar offered by the Luxembourg School of Finance of the University of Luxembourg will take place on Wednesday 15 June 2016.
Entitled "Advancing Financial Regulation with Innovative Technology: A Treat or a Thread?", the seminar will discuss financial innovation and look at the effects of technology development on regulation. The speaker, Harald Stieber, Economist at the Department of Economic Analysis and Evaluation of the Directorate-General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union (DG FISMA) of the European Commission will answer questions like: To what extend can technology enhance the reduction of complexity? Could innovative technology act as a driver of change and help authorities to design a more transparent financial system?
The seminar will take place at 12:30 at the Luxembourg School of Finance, in Modigliani-Miller auditorium on the 2nd floor, 4 rue Albert Borschette, 1246 Luxembourg. Prior registration is required by e-mail to lsf-events@uni.lu.
