On Wednesday, Hélène Abraham, Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing at HOP!, a subsidiary of Air France, unveiled the details of their initial flight service from Luxembourg airport in Findel.
From 21 February 2016, HOP! will fly one flight daily from Luxembourg to Lyon Saint-Exupéry (departures at 06:30 on weekdays and 13:05 on Sundays) with one return flight departing Lyon those same 6 days at 20:10; the flight duration is 80 minutes and Lyon offers 20+ connectivity possibilities, mainly, but not exclusively, within France.
HOP! primarily operates within France but also flies a number of international routes to Italy, The Netherlands, Belgium, the Czech Republic and Germany. It operates 600 flights daily using a fleet of 96 aircraft with seating capacity ranging from 48 - 212 passengers.
The Luxembourg-Lyon route will use an ATR 42-500 turbo-prop plane with 48 seats, with ticketing from €59 one-way and €119 return (with conditions), and €149 return for transit destinations via Lyon. Prices include luggage allowances of 12kg cabin baggage and 20kg of 20kg for checked-in luggage in the hold. For further details including reservations, see www.hop.com and www.airfrance.lu.
