Airline Chalair yesterday announced that it will be establishing a new flight link between Lyon and Luxembourg in autumn 2015.
From 28 September 2015, the French company will be offering its third international destination following Cologne and Barcelona, with five weekday flights between Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport and Luxembourg's own Findel airport. The flights will be operated by Beechcraft 1900 aircrafts, providing 19 seats.
From Monday to Thursday, flights will leave Lyon at 10:45, arriving just under an hour and a half later in Luxembourg at 12:05. Return flights will depart Luxembourg at 16:00, landing back in Lyon at 17:20. On Fridays, the flights will start at 15:50 from Lyon, arriving at 15:10, with the flight back scheduled for 17:40 with an arrival time of 19:00.
The Chalair airline was founded in 1986, and has previously provided flights to only national destinations. However, the Lyon-Luxembourg line represents a further expansion in its scope, following the creation of a direct route to Cologne-Bonn in April 2015.
