On Saturday 10 October 2015, the Rugby Club Luxembourg U16s joined the U19s 1st XV at ROC, Ottigny.
ROC started strongly, capitalising on early RCL errors, and after 10 minutes ROC were ahead by 10 points. The RCL U16s had by now started playing better rugby and after some good phases Luca Zanette crossed the line, Sweetnam added 2 points for the conversion. Shortly after that, the U16s were still in ROC 22 metre area, and applying a lot of pressure. However, a miss pass was intercepted by the ROC centre, who run for 60 metres and scored. End of first half saw ROC leading 15 to 7.
The match started in the same way, with RCL having more possession but failing to score, and then again the host managed to put the ball over the line for a 13 points lead. The final 10 minutes saw the Luxembourg boys putting ROC under a lot of pressure which resulted in a good try converted by Franzina. With 4 minutes left to play and a series of phases in the ROC 22, RCL managed to keep possession, and after winning a ruck, scrum half Tarakdjian offloaded to Verlaque who bravely scored right under the post for his second try of the day.
The conversion put RCL only 1 point ahead with 2 minutes to play, and that was the final score. RCL U16s 21 - ROC 20
The match had been entertaining, physical but very correct; Tomas Monge Mateus was awarded man of the match.
