The European leader in modular buildings, Portakabin, has announced that it is to set up a Luxembourg office in Kalchesbruck, near Findel.

Luxembourg has been identified as an important market by the UK company. "Portakabin has been active on the Luxembourg market for two years already, through our branch network in Belgium. Major customers such as the National Police, the city of Differdange and even Goodyear, we already trust. The business is growing and the Luxembourg market still offers great potential. Portakabin has decided to be physically present in the Grand Duchy by opening an agency," said Franky Depoortere, CEO Portakabin Belgium and Luxembourg.

The new site hosts offices, a workshop for storage parts and materials, as well as a showroom exhibiting different modular buildings manufactured by Portakabin. "It is important that our customers can visualise our products. First, because we are proud of all our buildings are built in the factories of the group and stand out from the competition in terms of quality and design. Furthermore, because the modular building is too often associated with prefabricated construction used on construction sites. Our solutions have nothing to do with it. We meet all the needs in temporary spaces for all uses including schools, nursing homes, canteens, offices and shops. Our buildings are also customisable. With a rich set of options, we can achieve tailor-made modular solutions," said the director.

Portakabin Luxembourg is employing, initially, two employees. These will be complemented by technical teams, depending on projects. The ambition of the Luxembourg company is to quickly ramp up to gain autonomy. "We want to grow, create wealth and jobs in the Grand Duchy," concluded the CEO.
