The Luxembourg City Film Festival has announced that its new headquarters will be housed in a marquee to be erected for its opening on 20 February, with the festival to run from 25 February to 6 March 2016.
In addition to traditional screening venues, exhibition and events, the festival will see for the first time its Magic Mirrors HQ on the Place de la Constitution; this will include a full 360 degree cinematic experience, entitled FULL VIRTUAL REALITY CORNER.
The festival will continue its activities over previous years to reach young audiences and will organise meetings and discussions as well as playful and collaborative workshops, for young people, families and school groups. As well as various screenings and events for different age groups, Fabrique d’Images (Ooops Noah is Gone / Two by Two) will also lead an animation workshop for children.
The Ratskeller at the Cercle Cité on Place d'Armes will host the FUTURE DAYS exhibition, with the Cercle Cité also hosting the 10th EUROPEAN SHORT PITCH event.
Intital List of films to be screened:
- The ETERNAL BRIDE OF DR. FRANKENSTEIN (Rotondes on 23 & 24 February)
- FEED ME by Rachel Maclean (Ciné Utopia on 3 March)
- HISTORY’S FUTURE by Fiona Tan (Ciné Utopia on 2 March)
