The 12th annual Festival Casino2000 and the 2nd Festival Saveurs & Légendes is over for another year; over 200 artists and more than 70 concerts augurs very well for 2017, with more people attending that in 2015 when 7,000 passed through the doors, despite the excellent weather which did not favour such an indoor festival.
Held over the Ascension week-end at Casino2000 in Mondorf-les-Bains, the 3-day festival opened in the Chapito with a bang courtesy of Téléphone by T-léphone Export, before more calming music by Leonard Cohen by Roland Helm, followed by Smooth Criminals, Tribute to Michael Jackson. With tributes to others including Adele and James Brown, as well as Lionel Richie by Isaac Roosevelt, the first day featured a range of musical genres.
The second day was almost 100% exclusively French, including Indochine by Black City, Johnny Halliday by Thierry Luthers and Lara Fabian by Gaelle Birgin, as well as Les Charlots, amongst others.
The third day featured rock and roll, including Elton John by Eltonology, Muse by Museum, The Police by Back to the Police, Queen by Bohemian Dust and U2 by Achtung Babies, plus many more.
