A Balkan Music Festival is coming to Luxemborg on Saturday 16 April 2016, at Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette, with doors opening at 19:00.

The event will feature the electric multicultural group Radio Zastava, with the Bosnian folk romance performers Mostar Sevdah Reunion starting the evening. The audience will then be able to enjoy the masters Emir Kusturica with The No Smoking Orchestra and Goran Bregovic with The Wedding and Funeral Orchestra.

Goran Bregovic is a composer of famous films scores, he has also composed for artist such as Iggy Pop and Cesária Évora as well as being the composer behind the Serbian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2010. The No Smoking Orchestra has won popularity for combining punk and Slavic folk music.

Coming from the same background, the same generation, survivors of the same experiences, Goran Bregovic and Emir Kusturica are forming a tandem that doesn't require words to communicate” - den Atelier.
