On Thursday 25 February 2016, the Delhaize Group Fund launched its ninth call for projects aimed at reducing wasted in neighbourhoods, towns and villages in Belgium and Luxembourg whilst creating a community atmosphere between all inhabitants.
Managed by the King Badouin Foundation, the Delhaize Group Fund has been on the lookout for measures to fight waste as part of its sustainability strategy for nine years now, and is once again inviting residents and associations to submit new applications for projects that improve social cohesion by bringing residents together through waste-reduction initiatives. The Fonds will therefore be giving priority to concepts in which people are involved and actively participate.
Applications must be submitted at www.kbs-frb.be before 9 May 2016, following which an independent jury of experts will select projects and the amount to be granted to each, with a maximum limit of €5,000 per project. The Fund provides a total of €145,000 to the winning projects across Belgium and the Grand Duchy.
The King Badouin Foundation aims to help improve the living conditions for the population by taking steps toward greater social justice, democracy and respect for diversity.
