On Thursday 26 May 2016, the National Cultural Fund (FOCUNA) and the Fondation Michelle, under the aegis of the Fondation de Luxembourg, will be holding a gala concert featuring the winners of the Bourse Michelle ("Michelle Fund").

Pianists zala Kravos and Cathy Krier will duet Franz Schubert's Fantaisie D. 940 in F minor for four hands (1828). Laurent Warnier on the vibraphone, Rachel Xi Zhang on marimba and Frin Wolter on accordion will together perform La Poderose (1983) by Bachar Mar-Khalifé and the former two will also later perform Carla Bley's Over There (2008), Robert Aldridge's The Zebra (2008) and Lü Wencheng's Autumn Moon on Calm Lake (1930). Meanwhile Frin Wolter will collaborate with the Ensemble United Instruments of Lucilin to perform Astor Piazzolla's Le Grand Tango for viola and accordion from 1982.

Clara Olivares and the Ensemble United Instruments of Lucilin will conclude the programme with Tentation des limites (2016) for clarinet, violin, viola, percussion and piano.

The evening will take place at 19:00 at the Auditoire of LALUX Assurances, 9, rue Jean Fischbach L-3372 Leudelange. Reservation is obligatory and can be done by emailing info@focuna.lu.
