To mark the 90th anniversary of the founding of the original summer school that has now evolved into LEATSS, three 2-day Intensive Workshops will be held in addition to the regular summer school:

- 26-27 July 2015: Forced Entertainment (acting and devising – an exploration of the methods of the ground-breaking Forced Entertainment company that makes compelling, inventive, provocative and highly physical new theatre)

- 28-29 July 2015: Altercations in Shakespeare (stage combat and acting –specifically placed within the context of Shakespeare’s plays, but firmly grounded in text, looking at the way combat and text interweave, how aggression arises out of a situation and how it is contained within the text)

- 31 July – 1 August 2015: Songs of Brecht/Weill/Eisler (music theatre singing – based on the work of Bertold Brecht and the songs of Kurt Weill & Hanns Eisler, all passionate, engaged, appealing and hugely influential. The workshop will look at spontaneity through process and engage with acting in line with the saying “You don’t have to be a great singer in order to perform Brecht”.)

The workshops are aimed at actors, directors and music theatre singers wishing to improve or acquire new skills. They will be held at the Centre d’accueil at Clairefontaine on the Belgian Luxembourg border.

Details of the courses and fees can be found online at www.leatss.lu/intensive_workshops_overview.php.  For further questions, please contact John Brigg (Course Administrator) at email: john@leatss.lu or on tel: 691-636631.
