Following the announcement last October of the €25m project to redevelop the current site of the Diekirch brewery in Diekirch for a residential real estate project as well as a new brewery, the relevant authorisation came through on Monday.
Representatives of the Brasserie de Luxembourg Mousel-Diekirch received the authorisation from theb Mayor of Diekirch, Claude Haagen.
This first building permits cover the construction and operation of the new brewery in the middle of 2018. It also enables the Dräieck Dikrech project partners to continue planning for the rehabilitation of the site and ensure the completion of the first phase of renovation and reconstruction.
The work of dismantling and demolition, begun in May 2016, is on schedule to be completed on time. The building permit for the new Brasserie de Luxembourg Mousel-Diekirch, presented today, will allow Coogee S.à r.l., owner of the site, to initiate the remediation work which should be finalised before the summer holidays. The end of the excavation works is then scheduled for mid-October 2016. With the laying of the foundation stone scheduled for year-end 2016, construction of the first phase, which includes the new brewery building for Luxembourg Mousel-Diekirch and some adjacent infrastructure, will be started.
